The Questions About Registration to PoolText

If you are authorized to open an account on the behalf of your journal, please see the editor guidelines from https://www.pooltext.com/policies/editor-guidelines to get necessary information and the processes for registration.

It may be due to following reasons:

  • The mail sent to the e-mail address you used while registering to your account may go to junk/spam folder in your email.
  • If you are able to enter the system with your e-mail address and password that you have set previously, this means that your account has been verified.
  • It is important that e-mail address used in your application to be one of the e-mail addresses displayed on your journal website (at the pages such as contact, editorial board, etc.). In the cases that your e-mail address conflicts with the e-mail address(es) displayed on your website, the verification of your account may be delayed.
  • In such cases, we send new email(s) which will help us to understand whether the email address used in the application really belongs to journal editor or not. As these emails may sometimes drop into the junk/spam folder in your account, we advise you to control these folders too.
  • As each editorial account application and journal information of editor who has made the application is thoroughly reviewed, the account verifications would take some time. At those times when we have significant increases in the number of account applications, delays would occur.

We suggest you to use the language that the manuscript you are reviewing is written. Same is valid while sending a note to the author. (for example; you should use English language for a manuscript written in English).

The Questions About Invitations Sent to Articles on PoolText

The invitation you have sent to a manuscript at PoolText refers that this manuscript may be taken into consideration in case it is submitted to your journal officially.

No, the invitation to a manuscript does not mean that you have accepted this paper for publication and of course, the manuscript may be rejected by your journal at the end of your editorial process.

Yes, definitely. The system reminds the authors what the invitation sent to their articles by the editors means clearly.

Yes. If the author receives an invitation from your journal and decides to submit to your journal, he/she is liable for obeying all rules of your journal (including manuscript submission rules e.g. article format, editing the reference, fees).

The author who edits his/her manuscript in accordance with the submission rules of your journal submits his/her manuscript over the manuscript submission system available at the website of your journal.

At the moment that you send an invitation to a manuscript, the system instantly notifies the relevant author about your approval via email, sms, and system notifications.

A manuscript would receive invitations from more than one journal on our platform. With more invitations, authors will upload more manuscripts which eventually increases the number of available manuscripts for the journal editors to invite on our platform.

The author receiving invitations from more than one journals decides on one of the journals to submit their manuscript according to their aim and purpose at that point in time.

When the author decides on a journal to submit his/her manuscript, the system automatically assigns a unique number (PPID) to the article and inform the relevant editor via e-mail and system notification.

If the editor sees the PPID number next to the title of a manuscript in the list of invited manuscripts, this means that relevant manuscript has preferred his/her journal to be submitted.

No, the invitations cannot be withdrawn.

You may see the list of your invited manuscripts in the "approved articles" section of your account.

You may know that by checking the list of manuscript titles at the "approved articles" section on PoolText or searching the PPID number written above the article title sent by the author to your journal on PoolText system.

We recommend you to send as many invitations as you can regardless of the number of submissions as eventually, the invitations will improve the awareness your journal among researchers and consequently increase the number of submitted manuscripts to your journal.

We also recommend you to write a note to the invitations while sending them to the authors as it definitely increases the selection rate for the journals on our platform.

You may also set new strategies for your journal such as increasing the number of indices that your journal is indexed, applying to credible indices, improving the appearance of the journal webpage.

Other Questions

When the author decides to submit his/her manuscript to a journal in the list of invited journals, he/she clicks on "SELECT" button next to the title of that journal in the relevant list. A unique and journal-specific number automatically created by the system as a result of this click is called as PPID. The PPID number is the number that the author will use when he/she submits his/her manuscript to the relevant journal.

After it is created in the system, the PPID may be seen by both author (next to the title of the journal that he/she has selected in the list of invited journals) and editors (next to the title of the manuscript in the list of manuscripts that he/she has invited).

The author writes the PPID number above the title of the article and then submits it to your journal.

It indicates that the relevant manuscript is invited by you or your co-editors on PoolText.

It helps to prevent a manuscript from be submitted to more than one journals.

The author may not change the decided journal for a specific period (7 days) after obtaining the PPID number. At the end of this period, he/she is able to choose a new journal and receive a new PPID number. In this case, the PPID number displayed at the screen of the previous journal is deleted. And, the editors of the relevant journals are notified via email (to the editors of the journal which are both canceled and newly selected).

The period for listing the manuscript in the system is maximum 90 days and the manuscript is removed from the system at the end of this period or when the author chooses any of invited journals.

If any journal editor reports an abuse for an article using "Report Abuse" button, the listing of the article will be suspended until a decision is made regarding the issue. In such a case, we contact with the corresponding author of the article and request an explanation. Until an explanation is received from the author resolving the issue the article will be suspended.

  • If it has a content incompatible with the legal rules of your country,
  • If it is contrary to the human or animal rights,
  • If it has been published previously,
  • If it has not been published previously but it is accepted by any journal and put into order for publishing,
  • If the article is submitted to your journal while the article continues to be listed in the system,

In such a case, we contact with the corresponding author of the article and request an explanation. Until an explanation is received from the author resolving the issue the article will be suspended.

No, the authors may only see the articles uploaded by themselves in the system due to both ethical, legal and security concerns.

The editors may see the articles appropriate for the sub-category of their journals in the system. Therefore, accurately determining the sub-category of your journal in the system will increase the number of articles that you may review.
